By purchasing a voucher, activating a voucher, booking a session or attending a programme delivered by GEMIS Technical Academy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not purchase a voucher.
If GEMIS Technical Academy cancels a session, postpones without offering an equivalent alternative date within 30 days, or if a technical or operational failure on our side prevents delivery, the customer receives a full refund within 5 business days of the cancellation notice. This includes card processing fees charged at purchase — the customer receives back exactly what they paid.
Where the Consumer Protection Act cooling-off right applies, a customer may cancel within 5 business days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided the voucher has not been redeemed, transferred, activated for a confirmed session, or used to access course materials.
After the 5-business-day cooling-off period, voucher purchases are not refundable unless GEMIS Technical Academy is at fault. Vouchers may, however, be transferred to another person at no charge before expiry.
The myAI scoping workshop is a paid discovery workshop for corporate curriculum development. The R9,999 scoping fee is credited in full against the development invoice if the client proceeds with the project. If the client chooses not to proceed, the scoping fee is not refunded, but the client retains the scoping output produced during the workshop.
AI Advantage and AI Advantage Express vouchers are valid for 90 days from purchase. AI Enterprise and Education Excellence vouchers are valid for 60 days from purchase. Vouchers expire at midnight on the last day of their validity period. An expired voucher has no cash value and cannot be redeemed.
GEMIS Technical Academy sends automated reminder communications during the validity window. These reminders provide notice of the remaining time and the steps required before the voucher expires.
In exceptional circumstances, a written request for a single 30-day extension may be submitted before the voucher expiry date. Extensions are granted at the sole discretion of GEMIS Technical Academy and are not guaranteed. Requests submitted after expiry may be considered only in exceptional commercial circumstances.
A voucher may be transferred to another person at no charge before expiry. The transfer request must include the new holder's full name and email address.
Enterprise and Education customers complete their post-purchase journey on gemis.tech. This includes selecting activities and confirming attendees. Everything must be finalised within the relevant voucher validity window.
GEMIS Technical Academy requires approximately 14 days from receipt of the confirmed attendee list to the session date to allow for workbook printing, certificate preparation, name tags and logistics. Where this preparation window cannot be accommodated because attendee information is supplied late, GTA will make reasonable efforts to deliver, but cannot guarantee printed materials.
Where an invoice remains unpaid 7 days after issue, GEMIS Technical Academy may send a payment reminder. If payment is still not received after the reminder period, the unpaid invoice may be cancelled and a credit note may be issued. A voucher is only active once payment has cleared.
A credit note may be issued where a refund is approved, an unpaid invoice is cancelled, an invoice was issued in error, or an adjustment is required. Credit notes reference the original invoice number and reverse the applicable invoice amount including VAT where applicable.
All prices on this site exclude VAT unless explicitly marked otherwise. A South African VAT invoice is issued electronically when payment clears.
Course workbooks, slides and other materials remain the intellectual property of GEM Information Systems unless explicitly transferred under a signed myAI agreement.
GEMIS Technical Academy is not liable for loss or damage arising from the use or misuse of training materials. AI output must always be reviewed before it is used for binding, legal, financial, HR, clinical, operational or safety-critical decisions.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
