A GEMIS Technical Academy delivery agent is the human connection between the Academy’s curriculum and the schools in their region. Agents are not employees — they are independent practitioners who deliver Academy-certified training under a partnership agreement.
Agents build relationships with schools in their area, understand their needs, recommend the right Education Excellence™ stream and tier, and guide the booking process.
After Academy certification, agents deliver Education Excellence™ half-day sessions at school premises. All materials, connectivity equipment and the curriculum framework are provided by the Academy.
Approximately 20% of sessions are subject to unannounced quality visits by the Academy. Agents are expected to deliver every session as if it were being observed. Consistent delivery is non-negotiable.
The Education Excellence™ agent network is in its early stages. We are selective about who we bring into the network because the quality of every session depends on the quality of every agent. We expect this to be a competitive application process as the network grows.
The right agents come from different backgrounds — former educators, education NGO workers, training professionals, community development practitioners. What they share is a genuine connection to the South African school environment and the credibility to walk into a staffroom and be taken seriously.
Experience as an educator, education administrator, NGO worker, or training facilitator. Schools trust people who understand their world.
You do not need to be a developer. You do need to use ChatGPT, Claude and similar tools with enough confidence to teach others to do the same.
Agents operate locally. You know the schools, the communities and the context. This is not a remote opportunity.
Agents manage their own schedules and school relationships. The Academy provides the framework. You provide the follow-through.
Sessions are delivered at school premises. You need to be able to get there with the session equipment.
Every session you deliver carries the Academy’s name. We expect the same standard every time, at every school, regardless of whether a quality visit is happening.
The certification process is designed to be thorough — not bureaucratic. We want agents who understand the programme deeply, because the quality of every session depends on it.

A member of the GEMIS Technical Academy team will contact you to discuss the role, your background and whether there is a fit. We are honest about where we are in building the network and what the opportunity realistically involves.
Accepted applicants complete the GEMIS Technical Academy agent certification programme. This covers the Education Excellence™ curriculum, facilitation standards, quality requirements, and the commercial model. Certification must be completed before any session can be delivered.
Certified agents sign a partnership agreement with GEM Information Systems (Pty) Ltd covering territory, quality standards, IP, earnings, and termination. The agreement is straightforward and designed to protect both parties.
Your first session is typically accompanied by an Academy team member for quality assurance. After that, you operate independently in your region — with the Academy available for support, curriculum updates and periodic check-ins.
The agent network is new. Timelines for certification and first sessions depend on demand in your province. We will be transparent about this in the initial conversation.
